ExamBuddy is live! I'd love feedback on the first-time user experience.

    Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹

I recently launched ExamBuddy, a platform that helps competitive exam candidates connect with others traveling to the same exam center.

The idea came from seeing students travel alone to unfamiliar cities with no easy way to find trustworthy companions or coordinate their journeys.

The app is now live on the Indus Appstore, and I'm looking for feedback from fellow founders.

    My main question:
When you visit the product page or use the app for the first time, is the value proposition clear within the first 10 seconds?

    I'd also appreciate feedback on:

    • The onboarding experience

    • UI/UX

    • Feature clarity

    • Anything that would make you more likely to use or recommend it

Thanks in advanceβ€”I really appreciate your honest feedback!

Don't see the app here on Saas Hive yet but when it is launched I will look at the product page and will hopefully be able to provide you with some feedback πŸ‘πŸ».

Thanks, I really appreciate that! I'm currently completing the launch process on SaaS Hive. Once the product page is live, I'll share the link here. I'd love to hear your honest feedback on the product and user experience. 😊

Schedule your launch on SaaS Hive at the beginning of August. This will allow you to participate in the month Sprint early and have the entire month ahead. If you launch in July, then it is the end of the month already πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. Do it early August.

Thanks for the suggestion! That definitely makes sense. I had actually already scheduled and launched ExamBuddy earlier today before seeing your message. I'll keep this in mind for future launches and updates. I appreciate the advice! 😊

Congratulations on the launch, Keerthivasan. Location based matching for exam travel is a genuinely useful niche, most travel and social apps ignore that specific moment. Once the SaaS Hive listing is up I will take a look and give you real feedback on the onboarding.

Thank you! I really appreciate that. The location-based matching feature is exactly the problem I wanted to solve for students traveling to unfamiliar exam centers. I'm finalizing the SaaS Hive listing now, and I'll share the link as soon as it's live. I'd really value your honest feedback on the onboarding and overall user experience. Thanks again! 😊

Keerthivasan, the listing is live so I am following up as promised. Olga's point about not overcomplicating a matchmaker app is the right instinct, the value is in the match, not the interface around it. The part I would watch closely is what happens right after two students get matched, is that handoff still inside the app or does it move to a phone call or a different chat entirely?

Thanks for taking the time to check it out and for the thoughtful feedback! That's a great point. Once two students are matched, they can continue the conversation directly through ExamBuddy's in-app chat to coordinate their travel plans. My goal is to keep the entire matching and communication process within the app, so users don't need to switch to another platform unless they choose to. I'll definitely keep monitoring this flow and improve it based on user feedback. I really appreciate your insights! 😊

The safety angle is what stands out to me more than the scheduling itself. A lot of travel apps solve logistics, but coordinating with someone trustworthy on an unfamiliar route to an exam center is a different kind of problem, closer to safety than convenience. Curious how you are verifying that the people matching up are actually who they say they are, since that trust piece probably matters more here than in most travel apps.
