My name is Michael.
I just launched Movie Composer - a personal space for discovering, ranking, and organizing movies, built for both solo watchers and communities.
Here's what you can do with it:

I built Movie Composer because movie tracking tools today are either too solo-focused (just a watchlist) or too generic for real communities that want to run their own rankings, events.

Thank you, Sergey! Would love to hear your feedback. The voting process is very different from other Movie Platforms, so it might be unusual experience, but hopefully more fun, than just giving ratings from 1 to 5. :) I would be very glad to request a feedback, will check out your link soon.
Love this idea, Michael. My sister and I are always trading movie recommendations over chat and then I can never find them again when I actually want to watch something. Having a shared space where the recommendations don't disappear into a message history would solve that.
Thank you very much for your feedback, Olga. Yes, Movie Clubs could be a great solution for your Family Club. You can create a private Movie Club, invite your sister with Invite Link and you will have a shared space for movie recommendations. Your favorite movies will become recommendations for your sister and the other way around. You can simply look at favorite movies of your club members, filter out the movies, which you already saw and this would become a list of recommendations for you, sorted from "the most recommended" to "least recommended". Private Movie Clubs are also useful if you want to agree on the next movie to watch, so you need to create a Club Event, with the list of suggested movies and then event members must vote for the movies and the most ranked movie should be the best candidate for the next watch. The difference is that for club movies, you vote for the movies you saw and liked, but in the club events, you vote for the movies you didnt see and want to watch (although in some cases, you might want to see the movie, which you already saw, so this is not a strict rule). By the way, by default, club members hide their membership and their favorite movies. If you want to share you favorite movies with other club members you can uncheck "Hide My Favorite Movies" checkbox in the user settings.
Michael, the part I keep coming back to is the Movie Clubs and Awards piece, since that is the part a plain watchlist can never do. Once a club runs a real vote on something like best comedy of the year, how do you handle the disagreements, does the app just show the raw vote split, or does it try to surface why two people rated the same movie completely differently?

Thank you very much for your feedback. In order to vote on best comedy of the year, the club owner can create a new Movie Award with category "Best Comedy of the Year" and provide a list of movies for this award. Any club member can join the Award and vote for the movies. If Award settings allow it, then Award members can suggest other movies for the nomination. The voting is actually simply creating ordered list of the nominations, sorted from your most favorite to the least favorite, but only those movies, which you saw. The movies, which award jury member didnt see should not participate in voting. So in the end all these votes are combined and the total result reflects all member votes. In this type of voting there are no disagreeements, only average result. :) The vote split is not shown, only the rank of each nomination from Top #1 to the #n is shown. I created Movie Award in the public club, you need to join the club "Movie Composer Movie Club" and then find "Awards" tab and in the awards tab find "Best Movie of All times" Award and in this award you need to select "Best Comedy of All Times" category, and then you will be able to vote. :)
Movie Composer’s community features really stand out. Most movie platforms help people record what they have watched, but Movie Clubs, shared voting, events, and custom awards turn watching into a genuinely social experience.
I especially like the idea of recommending movies through people with similar tastes instead of relying only on broad popularity. I’d be curious to see how the personal ranking system and group rankings influence each other as a club grows. Congratulations on the launch, Michael!
Thank you very much for your feedback, Jinny Moon. There are actually currently 165 000 users with real ratings. I downloaded ratings from MovieLens machine learning dataset and applied it to Movie Composer ranking system. So you can already try Movie Composer recommendations, using collaborative power of 165 00 users, no need to wait for more users. :)
