I built a platform for developers to help in being consistent in their upskillings.
Hi everyone, I’m Mangesh, the founder of preppingQuiz.
I built preppingQuiz for Java developers who are preparing for interviews or simply want to keep their fundamentals sharp through consistent practice.
I started it because interview preparation often becomes a large, intimidating checklist. It is easy to keep reading concepts without knowing what you genuinely understand. I wanted something simpler: one focused daily quiz that anyone can start without signing in, followed by immediate scoring and clear explanations.
Signing in is optional, but it lets developers preserve their streak, join the leaderboard, and build a visible record of consistency.
The feedback that would help me most: Does the homepage make the value clear within five seconds, and would the daily quiz give you a reason to return tomorrow? What more features do you expect so that you will come daily to play a quiz?

Welcome Mangesh! Interview prep can be intimidating, but turning it into a daily practice habit is a smart approach. That will also help with consistency that many people struggle with. Are you planning to expand beyond Java to other languages, or is staying focused on one language the strategy?
Definitely about to extend to database fundamentals; after reaching a milestone user count, this is just initial version to understand and test the idea of the project.
Welcome to the community, Mangesh! 🙋🏻♂️ I looked at your website quickly and it looks good. Although the text in the hero section looked too large for me 🤷🏻♂️. Possibly my vision 😅. You've mentioned it is about Java and for Java developers but the Java word is very small and the very large and constantly changing text in the hero section still my attention. Every time it changes I look at it and stop reading what I was trying to read 🙂.
I would also list a few sample interview questions on the main landing page as a teaser. Maybe about 3 sample questions with invitation to login and find out the answers? 🤔 It will also help with SEO and GEO. I see you also mention other frameworks like Spring Boot. Maybe list sample questions from Spring Framework developer interview as well? 🤔
Mangesh, the streak and leaderboard being optional instead of required for the first quiz is the right call, most people will not commit to an account before they know the questions are actually good. What would bring me back tomorrow is not more features, it is whether today's quiz felt slightly different from yesterday's rather than a random draw from the same pool, since consistency tools live or die on whether the routine still feels worth repeating after day ten.
