Does my page read as another CV tool? That's the one thing I need to know
I'm launching WorkstationAI on 12 August. It's for job seekers, and the claim I'm making is that most job-hunting tools stop the moment you hit send.
You get a tailored CV, you send it, and then you're on your own with a spreadsheet you'll stop updating by week 3. Mine keeps going. Every job you score and every CV you tailor logs itself, you add the outcome, and the retrospective tells you what your declines had in common.
My ask is one specific thing.
Open my product page. Read only the tagline and the first paragraph, then stop. Which of these would you have guessed it was?
A CV builder
A job tracker
Something that runs the whole search and tells you what your own history means
If you say 1 or 2, I have a positioning problem, and I'd rather find that out today than on launch day.

You Li, reading only the tagline and first paragraph, my first guess was job tracker, not CV builder, because you led with the line about stopping the moment you hit send. That framing already separates you from the CV tool category. Where it gets muddier is the CV tailoring mention right after, that pulls it back toward tool one in my head. If the retrospective and outcome tracking came first and CV tailoring came second, I think the positioning would land cleaner.
Stacy, that's a useful read. You're right that the order is doing the damage. The retrospective and outcome tracking is the actual product; CV tailoring is one thing it does along the way, and I've been leading with the smaller half. I'm going to flip it and see if the first-guess problem goes away. Thanks for reading it that closely.

You Li, thank you for saying that read helped, and for being willing to flip the order based on it. Since you already offered to look at anyone else's page in return, I want to take you up on that, but pointed at something a little different than another CV tool.
