As a busy founder, what do you do to recharge?

As busy founders we work during the day, late evenings, and I am sure many of us work on weekends too. We are inspired. We have an idea and we want to turn it into something profitable. We want to succeed.

But we can't sprint 24x7 forever. At some point it catches up with you. Rest is not optional - it is part of the job.

So what do you do to reset?

I go to the gym. And when I'm there, I try hard not to think about work at all. The funny thing is - the moment I stop thinking about work, a great idea pops up and I can't wait to get back to my computer 😅.

I go for a walk with no phone, sounds small but it's the only thing that actually resets me. The tricky part for me isn't finding time to recharge, it's that I'm running three businesses so even stepping away I'm still holding a mental list of what might be on fire in each one. Part of why I built FounderFlow, so I'm not the only backup system for "is anything actually urgent right now." Doesn't replace rest but it makes the rest actually feel like rest.

Yes, going for a walk and being present on a walk helps me as well. Paying attention to soundings, people, animals, cars and etc. rather than thinking about work helps to get a little bit rested 👍🏻. Sounds like FounderFlow is very helpful for what you do. Looking forward to your launch!

Thanks Sergey, that means a lot. Being actually present on the walk instead of half thinking about work the whole time is the part I'm still working on myself, noticing sounds and people instead of running through mental to-do lists is a good way to put it.
